I had read that article by Bosque earlier on my cell phone to which I replied to the sender how left of left it was. Somewhere lost in the shuffle are the sanctuary cities bemoaning a need for resources to combat the influx of illegals being shipped in while Kinney is railed. They declared sanctuary status. We did not. Put your money where your mouth is. Meanwhile, back at the ranch....

I have to keep saying it-- I do enjoy speaking with Ms. del Bosque and reading her reporting. I feel like her perspective and take on border issues is pretty reflective of the general school of thought for many folks in the Rio Grande Valley, though perhaps not as many as I've been assuming all these years. But this particular piece just doesn't resemble reality as I know it, personally. Maybe I'm the one that isn't seeing clearly, but I doubt it. If Kinney County is truly some racist hellhole, then there's no prayer for harmony to be had anywhere. Everyone around here is eating the same dirt, drinking the same water, going to the same schools, and watching their kids grow up together. Racism? Please.
