Consider this a lesson in patience for your Correspondent, readers. Minutes after hitting send on our last dispatch, we refreshed the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page to find his statement, published while we were editing our last message to you.

It follows here, with a small typo in the original included:

“Some misleading information was put out today without verification. The Kinney County Sheriff Office is not issuing a “Call To Arms” at this time. No security defense team is currently being assembled. We will keep you posted as things develope along the Southern Border. For those of you who have responded to assist we Thank You for your support and we will keep you posted.”
