I invoked the Invasion Clauses of the U.S. & Texas Constitutions to fully authorize Texas to take unprecedented measures to defend our state against an invasion. I'm using that constitutional authority, & other authorization & Executive Orders to keep our state & country safe:

Have a look at that up above, but don’t get your hopes up. It reads like a restatement of what he’s already done. At least one reporter out there is already calling it one of the Governor’s usual “head pats.” Begs the question: How will you know if Governor Abbot’s really ready to get after the border crisis?

Simple. Gauge his actions by the responses from the usual suspects.

If the White House, if the NGO’s, if the activists aren’t making a stink, then he probably isn’t doing much of anything at all.

We’ll see. As you may recall, we didn’t think much of busing illegal aliens and migrants to New York and Chicago and Washington D.C., but that turned out better than we’d anticipated.
